Hello--I follow the Mahayana tradition, but have been fortunate to have the Middle, Long, Connected and Numerical Discourses. I have read the Long and Middle, but never thought to ask the question--is there any particular order they should be read and studied? Just curious, tha nk you. In Peace--Rick

Probably, but I do not know it. However, here is a great book by Bhikkhu Bodhi that gives an overview of the canon by arranging excerpts from easier or most basic to difficult.

There is a new Theravada forum that may answer the question.
